Part two of the deadly saga of the Solomons plays out at the Santa Cruz Islands. In one terrible day of vicious combat, Enterprise loses her sister ship USS Hornet and suffers dozens of casualties as bombs nail her flight deck. When the smoke clears, Enterprise is the only American carrier left in the Pacific. For the U.S. Navy at Santa Cruz, survival becomes the ultimate battle.

November 1942. For the crew aboard USS Enterprise, the war has never been more personal. Enterprise is the only battle-ready American carrier left in the Pacific, and she and her crew are all that stand in the way of the Japanese. When the Imperial Navy tries to retake Guadalcanal, it's Enterprise that sends their transports and destroyers to a watery grave in Iron Bottom Sound.

Also known as "Old Ironsides," the USS Constitution holds steady as one of the U.S. Navy's most powerful accomplishments in craftsmanship and endurance. It is one of the six original frigates authorized for construction by the Navy Act of 1794, and today still remains afloat, serving as a training facility for the Navy's CPO.

A showdown of Cold War rivals pits the elite U.S. Navy SEALs against SPETSNAZ, the Soviet Union's most notorious frontline unit. They both face a third, "Rogue" force--Private Military Contractors, combat veterans who are now well-paid guns for hire. Competitions include machine guns, sniper rifles, close quarters combat with pistols and a mission to recover an agent held behind enemy lines.

As the Roman Empire expands its reach into what is now Germany, its legions are faced with ferocious Germanic tribesmen. In 9 AD, their chieftain Arminius, raised in Rome as a hostage of peace, uses his Roman military training to slaughter the Roman General Varus's army at Teutoburg Forest. This landmark battle establishes the Rhine River as the frontier between the Empire and its growing barbaric enemies. Six years later, when General Germanicus sets out across the Rhine for revenge, he finds heaps of bones and severed skulls nailed to trees--a reminder of the barbarians' victory. But at the Battle of the Weser River, he faces Arminius and wins. Germanicus captures Arminius's pregnant wife and parades her through the streets of Rome, as a symbol of his triumph.

It is 47 AD. The new emperor Claudius is considered by many to be the village idiot. He can only hang onto his throne by waging a spectacular conquest. He chooses Britannia, a legendary land which fascinates and inspires fear in the Romans. Proud and warlike, the Britons use the island's treacherous terrain and dark forests to lure the legions to ruin. Led by magic wielding Druid priests and a charismatic warrior named Caratacus, the Britons resist in the face of the greatest military machine the world has ever known.

The Israeli air force mastered the use of the Mirage III over decades of intense air combat with its neighbors. Go into battle with Israel's ace of aces, Giora Epstein as he takes on a swarm of Egyptian MiG-21s in one of the most thrilling dogfights of the jet age. State-of-the-art computer graphics are used to recreate famous battles. First-hand accounts, rare archival footage and original shooting will make the viewer feel like they're in the battle facing the enemy.

July 10th 1944. For six long weeks since D-Day, Allied forces have been caught in a battle trying to breakout of the invasion beachhead at Normandy. In the East, the British and Canadian Armies are fighting to take the city of Caen, and have suffered over 26,000 casualties and in the West, the US forces, in just 12 days, lose over 10,000 troops. In a final throw of the dice, the Allied commanders come up with an audacious plan, operation Cobra. If successful, they will split the German forces and sweep into France. Aerial reconnaissance photographs taken at the time have now been layered over a 3 dimensional contour map to create a CGI "model" of the battle. For the first time these original high-resolution images, allows the viewer to track the battle, step by step, from the air. Individual stories of courage and heroism can be placed in the exact location where they took place.

August 2nd 1944. The Allies have broken out of Normandy and are preparing to sweep into Central France. The US Army and their British Allies set a trap for the Germans. Seventy miles away in Paris, the French resistance eagerly watch the allies advance. The race is now on for the Allies to get to Paris and save its citizens from possible slaughter. They must also get there in time to stop the Germans from reducing the most beautiful city in the world to a pile of ash and rubble. Both British and German aerial reconnaissance photographs have now been layered over a three dimensional contour map to create a CGI model of the battle. For the first time these original high-resolution images allow the viewer to track the battle, step by step, from the air.

Two hero ships bearing the same great name; the original, CV-5, was a martyred hero of the war's two turning-point battles, the Coral Sea and Midway. Her successor, CV-10 went on to avenge her destroyed namesake through all the rest of WW II in every significant assault on the Japanese-held island fortresses.

Three teams of elite warriors--the U.S. Marine's Force Recon, the Canadian Light Infantry, and a "Rogue" Squad of private contractors--slug it out. They test their combat skills with an arsenal of weapons: from knives and pistols to sniper and assault rifles and submachine guns--not to see who's best with a single weapon, but to see who's best with them all.
